19Labs is collaborating with Pro México Indígena, a prominent foundation dedicated to improving the lives of indigenous communities in Mexico. This partnership revolutionizes healthcare access for indigenous populations by leveraging 19Labs' cutting-edge technology and Pro México Indígena's deep expertise in community development.
Pro México Indígena has been at the forefront of empowering indigenous communities in Mexico for over two decades, working tirelessly to address the unique challenges faced by these communities. Through their holistic approach, they have provided education, infrastructure, and economic opportunities to uplift the lives of indigenous individuals and families.
Recognizing the critical role of healthcare, they sought a partner that shared their vision and could help overcome barriers to quality healthcare access. 19Labs is proud to join forces with Pro México Indígena, bringing innovative digital health solutions to support the foundation's health line of action.

"This program has been a milestone in the medical care of thousands of indigenous people in the State of Mexico and Chiapas, which has broken paradigms and has opened the doors to new and ingenious ways to bring first-class health services, with the quality and warmth that indigenous peoples deserve," - Carlos A. Hernández Ríos, Program Analysis and Strategy Coordinator of the Fundación Pro México Indígena.
The state-of-the-art mobile health clinic is at the heart of this collaboration; a fully equipped van outfitted with 19Labs' revolutionary GALE system. This powerful platform simplifies healthcare delivery, allowing the network of 20 local indigenous Community Health Promoters to provide seamless communication with community members. The user-friendly GALE platform ensures the clinics operate smoothly, providing complete, advanced consultations for comprehensive care.
The mobile health clinic equipped with GALE telemedicine units bring indigenous community members healthcare and medical consultations throughout Chiapas State and the State of Mexico.
The mobile health clinics travel to various communities of Chiapas and the State of Mexico, eliminating geographical barriers and reaching individuals who previously had limited or no access to healthcare. These clinics, equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and telemedicine capabilities, bridge the gap between remote communities and the 10 general practitioners and specialists aligned with the Anahuac University and the Faculty of Health Sciences. Indigenous individuals receive timely and comprehensive healthcare services tailored to their unique needs.
"GALE brings unique and superior advantages over that of a simple video call. Thanks to the use of diagnostic tools, GALE allows medical professionals to remotely close the gap in access to medical services that these communities face over other methods. Doctors have found the GALE system very easy to use but also have the advanced tools needed to provide a quality consultation." - Juan Carlos Hernandez Marroquin, Telemedicine Coordinator, Anahuac University.
Within the first 9 months of operation, the mobile health clinics made over 1,400 Telemedicine calls with nearly 300 device uses and an average of 18 minutes per telemedicine consultation.
Mr. Hernández Ríos also stated,
"The equipment installed in the field has transcended cultural barriers, significantly changing how indigenous communities access medical care. Telemedicine has earned a special place in everyone's hearts despite the first fears and doubts. Its ability to bring high-quality health services to these populations is widely recognized and appreciated, providing exceptional care that respects and values cultural diversity."
By combining technological innovation with community-driven initiatives, 19Labs and Pro México Indígena's joint efforts enhance healthcare access and drive positive change in the lives of countless individuals. This collaboration is a significant step towards empowering indigenous communities, promoting health equity, and improving overall well-being.
